DevBlog #001: Concepting

While the dev team is working on delivering the prototype with all abilities and assets the mystical forest world needs – currently moving platforms, the dash movement and interaction system, the art team is doing a lot of concept art so that everyone gets a better vision of our project. Let’s see what got created:

We still try to experiment with styles as we have the 3D Version of the game, but also some drawn scenes – and for the future: Cover Art, Merch etc.

We had some realistic approaches, but almost sure we choose the artistic comic versions

Also here we are still experimenting with different styles. We want to have a matching atmosphere, which stays mystic and beautiful.

While there is not much Gameplay or functions to see (and even if, they still look like two cubes jumping around because that is what GameDevelopment is in the first steps) we already want to dive in the the world of Aetheria. (The name of the world).

Progress in Design

We already have the outline of the story, key functions of gameplay, lore-elements and names. Sharing the story would spoiler a lot, that’s why we just present some names for now:
The two Foxes are called Eirian and Nyxen, living in Avaloria a forest in Aetheria.
Good and evil Spirits are flooding this world, they come from Spectralis.
All this started when the lost civilization of Eldriva got brought to grief by there arrogance.
